Course Overview

In this course we will review the OSHA regulations as they relate to the basic safety and management of various aerial lifts in the workplace. Aerial lifts are now referred to as mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs) and is a term that covers a wide range of different devices you may encounter at a manufacturing facility or on a construction site.

Aerial lifts are a excellent alternative to traditional scaffolding and ladders, when needing to perform elevated work. They provide many advantages over traditional ladders, hoists, and fixed scaffolding. Not only do they make your job easier by providing more mobility, but they're also much safer, when they are used properly.

In this program, we'll provide a basic overview of the safety practices and procedures that when properly used, will helpt to reduce your risk of injury while working with lifts.
